Yes. Both use KVM virtualisation with standard Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Rocky Linux images. cloud-init is supported. Any script that runs on a CloudCone SC2 VPS runs on a Roost Hosting VPS.
Does Roost Hosting have a credit system like CloudCone?
Yes — prepaid credit, hourly draw-down. The difference is Roost Hosting shows your available balance (what you can spend) and your reserved balance (locked to cover running VPS instances) as two separate numbers at all times. No guessing.
Can I import my existing server to Roost Hosting?
No one-click migration tool yet, but the process is rsync or snapshot-based and takes under an hour for most workloads. We're happy to walk you through it over a ticket.
Does Roost Hosting have cPanel hosting?
Yes — shared hosting with cPanel SSO is in the same panel as your VPS. One login, one invoice, one credit balance. CloudCone is VPS-only.
