Laravel on a VPS
that bills by the hour.
Full-root KVM VPS. Run any PHP version, queue workers, Horizon, cron jobs, Redis — whatever your Laravel app needs. Spin up staging environments for a few cents, destroy them when done.
What you get with
every Roost Hosting VPS.
No restrictions, no caveats. Standard Linux with full root access.
Full root SSH access
Standard Ubuntu or AlmaLinux. Use Forge, Ploi, or provision manually. Composer, artisan, everything works.
Queue workers & cron
Run Supervisor for Laravel queues. Schedule jobs via crontab. Horizon, Reverb, any process — all supported.
MySQL, Redis, any database
Install MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis — whatever your stack needs. No restrictions on ports or services.
Hourly billing, destroy any time
Staging environment for a PR review? Spin up, test, destroy. Pay for 2 hours. No monthly invoice to forget about.
Roost AI assistant
Ask it to read Laravel logs, check disk usage, diagnose a slow query — right from the panel. No copy-pasting logs into ChatGPT.

Why hourly billing
is right for Laravel.
Staging environments
Spin up a full clone of production, run your migrations and smoke tests, then destroy it. A 2-hour staging environment costs under $0.03.
Load testing
Spin up a bigger VPS tier for a load test, run it, get results, destroy. Pay for a few hours of a larger instance instead of a monthly upgrade.
Predictable production cost
For always-on production servers, credit is drawn hourly from your prepaid balance. Your available vs reserved balance is always visible — no end-of-month surprise invoices.
Multi-VPS setups
Web server + Redis + queue worker on separate VPS instances, each billed hourly. The same credit balance covers all of them — one panel, one balance.
Frequently asked questions.
Can I run Laravel queue workers on Roost Hosting VPS?
Yes. You get root SSH access, so you can run Supervisor to manage queue workers, scheduled tasks via cron, and any process you need. There are no restrictions on background processes.
Which PHP versions are available?
On VPS, you manage your own PHP installation — you can run any version you need. On shared hosting, multiple PHP versions are available via cPanel and you can switch per domain.
Does hourly billing work for staging/dev environments?
Perfectly. Spin up a VPS, deploy your staging environment, and destroy it when done. You only pay for the hours the server is running. Great for ephemeral environments before a production deploy.
Can I use Forge, Ploi, or similar server management tools?
Yes. Any server management panel that works over SSH works with Roost Hosting VPS. You get a standard Ubuntu or AlmaLinux VPS with root access — nothing proprietary gets in the way.
Is there a managed option for Laravel?
Not currently. Roost Hosting VPS is self-managed, meaning you provision the server and run your own stack. Our AI assistant can help with common tasks — reading logs, checking disk, etc. — but you manage the application.
Can I run Redis alongside my Laravel app?
Yes. Install Redis on the VPS the same way you would on any Linux server. Common setups are Redis + Laravel Horizon on the same VPS, or Redis on a second VPS if you want separation.
Laravel hosting
that gets out of the way.
Full root access. Hourly billing. Destroy when done. From $0.007/hr — that's under $5/mo if it runs all month.
